All athletes are subject to acute injuries during their training journey. But what about the inflammation and pain that we experience after an intense training session? Inflammation and subsequently pain, are defensive reactions that occur in the body and are a response to an injury. It causes increased blood flow to the injured area. This causes, fluid accumulation and pain as well as elevated temperature near the injured site.
